A journey along the A30 from Camberley to Blackbushe Airport, in text and photos, taking in Yateley, Darby Green and Frogmore. Remembering what they were like in the 1960s. Brian was born in Yateley in 1950 and has lived in the area all his life. In this compilation of memories he recalls his youth in the 1960s through the sights and sounds of the community where the counties of Hampshire, Surrey and Berkshire meet, including some of the ‘characters’ who added colour to the community, and reflecting on 70 years of expansion and reminding us of what we have lost -

There were fewer than 500 houses in Yateley in the First World War, but with Aldershot, Farnborough, Camberley and Sandhurst close by, this Hampshire village's response to the call to arms was more prepared than most, and it punched above its weight. -
