Frogs & Toads Of Yateley, Frogmore & Darby Green
Reporters Page

Thank you for joining the project and supporting us with monitoring and helping frogs and toads in our community.
From late January to April, when the weather hits the perfect conditions, thousands of frogs and toads start their migration back to the pond that they were born in. For them the trigger is when the temperature gets over 5 degrees, and the weather is drizzly, although this is not a hard and fast rule. In addition, there is a second migration, after the spawning season, where the toads and frogs return to their usual “home” under hedges, bushes, etc – both occasions placing the amphibians in a deadly situation.
By recording any sightings on this website, you are providing valuable information that the team can monitor and collate in order to improve our knowledge of their migrations…so your support is greatly appreciated.
